I don't think I will ever tire of seeing this bird, dressed or not. It is quite simply superb.

Judicious Whooping
I have nothing much to say, but some judicious garden whooping this morning in just my underpants produced this. My neighbours are I hope used to the sight of a slender and athletic-looking topless man cavorting around the garden with a large camera. No police showed up at any rate. A man's garden is his own private kingdom, no? "Whoop whoop!"

I am not sure that any whooping in your underpants, private garden or no, could be termed "judicious." But I might be guilty of the same if I had a turaco that would come around.
ReplyDeleteAh but judicious whooping, especially when just in your underpants, means just the right amount of whooping to bring the Turaco in, but not enough so that the neighbours start leaning out of their windows wondering what on earth is going on. The Turaco came, the police didn't, so I must have got it spot on.
ReplyDeleteHi Jonathan, very nice photographs. I venture across the flats at weekends, usually photographing Butterflies (I think we chatted several weeks ago).
ReplyDeleteSadly my knowledge of birds, is pretty poor, but I love the flats, such a good habitat, and your blog is excellent. Ed
