The chances of catching up on trip reports and actually becoming current by the end of this year seem minimal at this point. I am about to start a USA extravaganza but there are a couple of big ones after that that I don't see myself getting to - it's hard work. However I do seem to have emphatically answered the question [to myself] of whether I will manage to scrape togther 100 posts this year. At the end of July, in the mid-thirties, it had seemed unlikely in the extreme. But just look at that autumn output! It's nearly a post every other day. Wine and pizza, cats and slugs, binoculars and cameras, Ohio, Scotland, Argentina, The Gambia and Bruce Springsteen. Just reading it I feel exhausted, but actually it wasn't so hard once I got the bit between my teeth, and with this the 88th post of the year I'm confident I can get over the line. Quantity over quality. The halcyon days of 2009 to 2013 are long gone of course, but right now there is still a bit left in the tank. But it begs the question, oft asked..... is there anybody alive out there?!?
Yes. Blogland may sometimes seem like Radio Nowhere, but some of us are here, reading and enjoying, and appreciating the effort you put into your blog.
